Battle High School will soon have a new associate principal.

According to an announcement from district spokesperson Michelle Baumstark on Friday evening, Adam Taylor will be recommended to the Columbia School Board to become the Battle associate principal for the 2019-20 school year. He will become the principal by the 2020-21 school year.

Taylor currently serves as an assistant principal at Battle, and he will work alongside current principal Kim Presko during the 2019-20 school year. Following Presko’s retirement in 2020, Taylor will assume the full principal position.
