- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
- hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable classroom teacher to introduce the Japanese language and associated culture to students in 11 classes from Year 3 to Year 6. Lessons are 45 minutes, with the preference being 4 hours on a Wednesday, with a full day on Friday. The successful applicant should be able to address the following criteria in their application: * knowledge and understanding of the Languages Curriculum; * experience in planning, assessing and reporting in the Languages curriculum; *an openness to work collaboratively with others to build a positive environment where learning a language is valued and relevant; *an ability to strategically plan for and implement immersion in the Japanese language and associated culture; *an ability to actively engage students in the learning process (for example behaviour management; feedback, digital technology and innovative practices).

Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019
