New Delhi, April 15: The Supreme Court will hear a petition challenging the Election Commission’s (EC) ban on the release of the film PM Narendra Modi biopic today. The petition is moved by producers of PM Narendra Modi biopic. Citing violation of the model code of conduct, the poll panel on April 10 had banned the screening of the Narendra Modi biopic till culmination of the Lok Sabha elections. The biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supposed to release on April 11.
As part of election campaigning for the Congress, party’s chief Rahul Gandhi along with his sister and party’s general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will hold a joint rally at Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh today. Jyotiraditya Scindia who is in-charge Congress’s affairs in Uttar Pradesh (West) will also be present at the rally. After Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi will head to Gujarat where he is scheduled to address a public meeting in Mahuva. A public meeting is also scheduled to take place in Maharashtra’s Nanded. The Jet Airways’ pilots body National Aviator’s Guild (NAG) will meet today to take a final call on strike. Over 1,000 pilots of the cash-strapped Jet Airways are not paid their salaries for the last three months. Jet Airways has suspended all its international flights as of now.
